i was on Moloka’i about a week ago, I am a Lindsey from Waimea, Big Island, my mom is Fannie Lindsey, she just celebrated her 90th, Butchy Kailikini was my 1/2 brother
I run a commercial renewable energy company (Plug and Play Energy Systems)see video at
I really like your videos. well done, well informed and direct.
we would like to lease some land on Moloka’i to install a solar PV array and sell discounted power on the island. We have been talking to MECO and Molokai Ranch without much success. We have a unique business plan that allows us to sell FIRM PV power without the MECO grid, ie directly to the customer, at a much discounted price.
We will be doing a private, commercial scale, PV system there soon.
I would like to meet w/ you folks when I am on island next, in about a week or so, to discuss ways that I Aloha Moloka’i can get involved in the process, if you like, as i understand you are supportive of low cost energy using PV, not wind.
I understand, believe me, I was there w/ Bumpy in the early 90’s at the Aha
if you have any suggestions or any plans you wish to share, i will be all ears when meeting you.
Renewable energy for Hawaii is not a job, it is a passion.
