The Maui Economic Development Board will sponsor a two-day Social Media Boot Camp this Friday and Saturday at the UHMC—Molokai Education Center.

The MEDB program, High Tech Maui, will lead the two workshops designed to help businesses that use social media for marketing events or sales.

The Friday workshop is for those who are new to social media and are just beginning to get their feet wet. If you are just thinking about an overall social media strategy for your business but are not sure where to start this workshop is for you. The workshop will help put the different pieces of social media together and clear up any confusion.

The Friday workshop runs from noon to 6 p.m. in room 107 of the Molokai Education Center, 375 Kamehameha V Highway. Cost is $65. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Seating is limited to 30 people.

For those ready to go to the next level, Social Media 201 for your Business will take place Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon in the same location. Cost is $35 with snacks and drinks provided. Seating is limited to 30 people.

Peter Liu, a highly experienced computer industry professional, will help give entrepreneurs ideas to improve their bottom line while educating them about the new online world and its ever-changing developments and future direction.
