Molokai Lions Club News Release

The Molokai Lions Club is holding a food drive this week from Oct. 1-6. All community members are encouraged to donate.

Non-perishable items are requested. Items can be dropped at Kalele Bookstore and Divine Expressions, 64 Ala Malama Street, next to Misaki’s Market and the pet shop from 10:30 to 5 p.m. every day.

The recipient of the drive will be one or more of the island pantries depending on the amount of food collected.

The Lions Club reminds people that we are coming into the time of year that is especially difficult for families in need of extra help. The Lions Club members ask people to look in their cupboard/pantry and see if there isn’t something that can be donated.

Monetary donations are always accepted and will be given to the chosen pantry(s). For more information contact Lion PJ Berfield, chairperson at 567-6713.
