Kualapu’u School: A Public Conversion Charter is currently seeking a full time performing arts teacher.

The successful candidate will be in charge of all performing arts instruction for grades kindergarten through sixth at the conversion charter school in Kualapu’u.

The position was created as a result of the Expanded Learning Time initiative, which added 70 minutes to the school day beginning with the 2010-11 school year. The school’s current performing arts teacher will not be returning next year.

Teachers must meet Hawaii Teachers Standards Board licensure and must be “highly qualified” under the federal No Child Left Behind requirements. May 13, 2011 is the closing date for applications.

Candidates can submit a current resume, proof of teacher certification, and Hawaii State Teacher license to school Principal Lydia Trinidad. Call her at 567-6900 or email Lydia_Trinidad@notes.k12.hi.us.
