Hawaiian Christmas program tonight at Mitchell Pau’ole Center

The Hawaiian Language Immersion Program, Ke Kula Kaiapuni o Kualapu’u, presents Ka La Hanaui ‘o Lesu tonight at 6 p.m. at the Mitchell Pau’ole Center.

Grades K-6 will be participating in the dramatic interpretation of the birth of Jesus through oli, mele and hula. Come out to see this uniquely Hawaiian interpretation of the Christmas story.

Tomorrow, Dec. 15 at 3 p.m., there will be a great opportunity to meet, talk story with, and learn from author Ka’ohua Lucas and illustrator Boots Lupenui, of the Kamehameha bilingual Kamaiki book series. The event takes place at the Kalele Bookstore & Divine Expressions in Kaunakakai.
