In business news, the Realtors Association of Maui reported that January was a strong start for single family home sales in Maui County compared to last year, with a nearly 50 percent increase in sales.
On Molokai, one single family home was sold in January and one condo was sold. Across Maui County condo sales and prices fell when compared to January of 2009. Sales of condos fell by 34 percent county-wide.
