The Associated Press reported yesterday that State Senator J. Kalani English, who represents Molokai, has proposed legislation that would transfer management of the Kalaupapa settlement form the state Department of Health to the Department of Hawaiian Homelands. A petition is circulating through Molokai this week asking Island Air to continue its regular flights between Maui and Molokai.
