Yesterday, at the Maui County employee’s luncheon, Hanale Lindo was named the Molokai firefighter of the year for 2009. Congratulations to Lindo and to all the local firefighters who do a tremendous job in protecting people and property, especially during the brush fires that swept through 8,000 acres on Molokai last month.
