Here on Molokai, a meeting of people concerned about the cost and quality of water on the island met with representatives of the Department of Agriculture earlier this week.
Issues discussed at the meeting, which took place at the Kulana ‘Oiwi center, included governance of the Molokai Irrigation System, developing a more sustainable approach to electricity for the island, and even the possibility of an open market in Ho’o lehua.
