The new owner of Paddlers’ Inn, Darrin Abell, has moved to Molokai to operate the Kaunakakai restaurant and bar. Abell said Paddlers Inn will increase its seating capacity and bring in a jungle feeling to the overall décor of the eatery.
The new Paddlers’ Inn also boasts six plasma TVs, and Abell promises to show Monday night football, as well as local sports and paddling events.
The menu will remain committed to local cuisine, with steaks, seafood, and Mexican fare also being offered.
Opening day is pending liquor license approval, but Abell says the restaurant should be open by mid-September.
