Members of the Hawaiian benevolent society Hale O Na Aliʻi O Hawaiʻi gathered at the Maui Beach Hotel on July 24–26 for its 59th Mamo Aliʻi convention. The convention drew nearly 100 delegates from across the state. At the convention it was decided that the ʻahahui convenes to celebrate its 60th convention next year on Molokaʻi, from May 14–16, 2010 at historic Kalanianaʻole Hall.
